CPC enews for April 1, 2016
FAREWELL TO LANT and AMANDA – The Worship and Church Life-Church Action Commissions are planning a dinner and program after worship on Sunday, April 3, to celebrate Lant and Amanda’s years with Central. Please plan to join the church family that day. The meal will be provided (vegetarian and gluten free options available) and the program will follow.
On Communion Sundays members are asked to make a voluntary contribution to aid the distressed and afflicted of our community. Please consider a gift, using the Deacons’ Fund pew envelopes. The Deacons use the funds to provide bereavement meals, vouchers for utility bills, holiday food baskets and others ways to help the church family and the community.
It is a first Sunday!! Donations for the UCM Food Pantry are being received this Sunday by the Mission Committee. Please place your non-perishable food items in the grocery cart. Items that are needed are peanut butter, almond butter, nuts, trail mix, canned meat or fish, canned fruit and vegetables, Spam, pasta, pasta sauces, mac & cheese, condiments, chips, dried fruit, rice, crackers, hygiene items, laundry detergent.
CPR training will be held at Central on Saturday, April 30 from 9:00 am to noon by the CPR Guru. Anyone that would like to learn or refresh their knowledge of this life saving skill is welcome. Certification can be received for a fee of $25. Observation to learn the techniques without certification can be done for free. Please notify Cheryl Moles that you will be attending – [email protected] so that we have the correct number of materials.
SIGN UP TO SCHEDULE YOUR PHOTOGRAPHY SESSION!
The Communications Commission and Deacons are excited to announce that there is going to be a 2016 Central Pictorial Directory! All we need is for you to make an appointment for your photography session on April 13, 14, 15, or 16. It is easy – click here to schedule your photography appointment – or sign up on Sundays during fellowship time. Our transitional pastor and new installed pastor will find it easier to get acquainted with our church family with an updated directory. Please be a part of it.
