Dates for your planning calendar:
Fall Sunday School Kick-off Breakfast & Church Picnic - August 18

This week is “The Water of Life” Vacation Bible School from 9:30 am to 12:00 pm at St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church. We are again joining with St. Stephen’s, Centenary United Methodist, and Trinity Lutheran Churches to bring summer fun and Biblical education to our children age 3 to rising 5th graders. Children are welcome to come for any or all days. Registration can be done at the door. Thanks to everyone who has donated our snack needs.

VBS Donations needed:
Please bring to church on Sunday:
(for children from 14th and Chestnut)

The Mission Committee is collecting food items for the 14th and Chestnut Grumbling Tummies (meals served to the children) in June. The food needs are: hamburger patties, ground sausage, large size tortillas, tater tots, granola bars, lunch meat, individual chip bags, juice boxes, apple juice, orange juice, precooked bacon, texas toast loaves of bread, english muffins, uncrustables, sliced cheese, shredded cheese, fruit cups, jello/pudding cups. Please place your items in the grocery cart in Fellowship Hall and perishable items labeled 14CCC in the pantry refrigerator or the freezer.
These foods will provide breakfast and lunch for the children in the summer program. They take a sack lunch each Friday for a field trip. A
CPC group will be preparing breakfast every Thursday during the summer and appreciate your help with the kids’ favorite menu items (breakfast sandwiches, breakfast burritos, french toast).

BABY “SHOWER” – On Sunday June, 23rd we will officially welcome Jonah Sutter to our Church family.
Jonah’s proud parents are Joy and Jon Sutter—big brother Jovan and big sister Juniper are eager to share Jonah with their Sunday School friends.  This is an opportunity to shower Jonah with our love and blessings. Cards and gifts are also welcome.  The family has suggested that “if you would like support them, they need bamboo, biodegradable diapers sizes 3 and 4.  These may be purchased at Fresh Thyme or on Amazon” https://www.amazon.com/Bambo-Nature-Friendly-Premium-Sensitive/dp/B06Y2W6QWM/ref=mp_s_a_1_3?keywords=bambo+nature+size+3&qid=1559498686&s=gateway&sprefix=bambo+n&sr=8-3

Looking ahead and still thinking BLUE!   On Sunday, July 7th we will officially welcome Parker Scanlon, son of Connor and Kendra Scanlon, into our Church family on the day of his dedication.  We will shower him with our love and blessings during the fellowship time. Of course, cards and gifts are also welcome!

GRIEF SHARE meets each Wednesday at Central Presbyterian Church at 6:30 pm.  Led by caring, trained people who have experienced grief themselves, this program will offer grief support from a Christian perspective.  It has three components: a video seminar, a support group, and a take-home workbook to reinforce the whole process.  Grief Share fits people who suffered loss quite recently and those who have carried their grief for a longer time.  For more information please call the church office.

The Deacons say “Thank You” for your generosity!   We are happy to be able to give the Youth $350.00 to help cover Triennium expenses and $150.00 to 14th and Chestnut for perishable food items. This is in addition to our regular expenses of utility assistance, bus maintenance, bereavement expenses, and recognition of our shut ins and “super seniors”.  All of this is possible because of YOUR gifts to the Deacons Fund.
Again, Thank You!   The Deacons
[Deacon Fund donations are received each first Sunday of the month.]

All of the church parking permits are gone. If you have driven off with one, we would appreciate getting it back. Thanks!
