ANNOUNCEMENTS

On Communion Sunday, members are asked to make a voluntary contribution to aid the distressed and afflicted of our community. Please consider a gift, using the Deacons’ Fund pew envelopes.

This Sunday, November 4, is All Saints’ Day and those CPC members that have died in the past year will be remembered.  The names of those we hold dear in our hearts -Marsha Harder, Abby Simmons and Carolyn Payne – will be added to the ribbon memory banner during the service. All can add ribbons with the names of additional saints to be remembered before worship in fellowship hall.

A Service for Wholeness will be held in the sanctuary on Sunday, November 11th at 6:30 pm.

The Masterworks Chorale will present their annual fall concert on Sunday, November 11 at 4 pm in Tilson Music Hall.

A new church directory is being completed. If you have changed your phone or address, please contact the church office to make sure that we have the correct information.

Stewardship information gathering – In preparation for Pledge Sunday on November 11, the last information session about the church budget is being held on Sunday morning, Nov. 4 at 9:15 at the church.

The Youth Group’s annual Rake and Run will be on November 4th. If you would like assistance in raking your yard, call or email Connor Scanlon (connor@thcpc.org).
Everyone is welcome to enjoy a CHILI SUPPER at Centenary United Methodist Church on November 11 at 5:30 pm. The youth group members will be judging a variety of chili made by the members of Centenary, and then it will be enjoyed by both congregations and the youth.

Welcome Luncheon for Linda Riggins
CLCA is planning a ladies’ carry-in salad luncheon on Sat. Nov. 17th at 11 with lunch served at 11:30 to welcome Linda.   We are looking forward to this opportunity to get to know her better.   Mark you calendars— hope you can be with us!

IF YOU ARE A U.S. MILITARY VETERANplease come to breakfast on Sunday, November 11! The Sunday School department will be serving and honoring our veterans.

COME+ SEE: RECREATING An exhibit about love, inclusion and recreation by Ginny Payne will be at the ISU Landini Center for Performing and Fine Arts Art Gallery November 3 – 16. HEMEfund update: A huge thank you to the members of CPC who so graciously stepped forward in a moment of safety emergency for the two HEMEFund schools in Kabul, Afghanistan. Poinsettias to decorate the Sanctuary at Christmas may be purchased for $8.75 with the choice of red or white. The deadline for orders is November 18. Order forms will be in the bulletins starting on November 4.

The annual Hanging of the Greens will be Wednesday, November 28. Decorating will begin at 5 pm with the dedication at 6 pm followed by a pizza supper. Come for this fun church family event.
