CPC e-news for March 18, 2016
The Lenten Educational Series continues March 20 from 5:15 to 7:15 pm. Supper will be served until 6:00 followed by worship and classes. All ages will be using John: The Gospel of Light and Life by Adam Hamilton in age appropriate studies. Over the six weeks, you will read the entire text of the Gospel of John to experience a season of spiritual growth and life-changing renewal. John 20-21 will be discussed this week.
The Mission Committee is providing a variety of soups for supper.
The annual Easter Egg Hunt will take place on Saturday, March 19 at 10:00 am at Collett Park. All children up through 5th grade will enjoy games, stories and hunting eggs. Please bring your own basket. Thanks to CLCA and the 7th Cents Youth Group for this fun event.

EASTER LUNCH – The Moles and Goltry family invite all Central members and friends to join us for Easter dinner in fellowship hall following the fellowship time on March 27. Ham will be provided and those joining should bring a dish to share. Clean up help will be appreciated. Please sign up on the list in fellowship hall or email [email protected] by March 25th and indicate the type of dish you will bring. We are looking forward to a special holiday meal!
FAREWELL TO LANT and AMANDA – The Worship and Church Life-Church Action Commissions are planning a dinner and program after worship on Sunday, April 3, to celebrate Lant and Amanda’s years with Central. Please plan to join the church family that day. The meal will be provided (vegetarian and gluten free options available) and the program will follow.
CPR training will be held at Central on Saturday, April 30 from 9:00 am to noon by the CPR Guru. Anyone that would like to learn or refresh their knowledge of this life saving skill is welcome. Certification can be received for a fee of $25. Observation to learn the techniques without certification can be done for free. Please notify Cheryl Moles that you will be attending – [email protected] so that we have the correct number of materials.
The Communications Commission and Deacons are excited to announce that there is going to be a 2016 Central Pictorial Directory! All we need is for you to make an appointment for your photography session on April 13, 14, 15, or 16. It is easy – click here to schedule your photography appointment – or sign up on Sundays during fellowship time. Our transitional pastor and new installed pastor will find it easier to get acquainted with our church family with an updated directory. Please be a part of it.
