CPC e-news for March 11, 2016

The Lenten Educational Series continues each Sunday evening through March 20 from 5:15 to 7:15 pm. Supper will be served until 6:00 followed by worship and classes. All ages will be using John: The Gospel of Light and Life by Adam Hamilton in age appropriate studies.  Over the six weeks, you will read the entire text of the Gospel of John to experience a season of spiritual growth and life-changing renewal. John 18-19 will be discussed this week.
The Deacons are providing a pizza supper.

Baby Shower  Let’s welcome baby Amzi Davis!  A table in the fellowship hall is ready to receive cards.   If you wish to give a gift, gift cards or small gifts would be preferable, as these will be transported with Lant and Amanda.  We will “shower” Amzi Sunday March 6th through Sunday March 13th. Grandparents, Lant and Amanda Davis, will proudly show pictures and accept our congratulations.

The annual Easter Egg Hunt will take place on Saturday, March 19 at 10:00 am at Collett Park. All children up through 5th grade will enjoy games, stories and hunting eggs. Please bring your own basket. Thanks to CLCA and the 7th Cents Youth Group for this fun event.

EASTER LUNCH – The Moles and Goltry family invite all Central members and friends to join us for Easter dinner in fellowship hall following the fellowship time on March 27. Ham will be provided and those joining should bring a dish to share. Clean up help will be appreciated. Please sign up on the list in fellowship hall or email cheryl@thcpc.org by March 25th and indicate the type of dish you will bring. We are looking forward to a special holiday meal!

CPR training will be held at Central on Saturday, April 30 from 9:00 am to noon by the CPR Guru. Anyone that would like to learn or refresh their knowledge of this life saving skill is welcome. Certification can be received for a fee of $25. Observation to learn the techniques without certification can be done for free. Please notify Cheryl Moles that you will be attending – cheryl@thcpc.org so that we have the correct number of materials.

Easter flowers must be ordered by noon on Friday, March 18. A sign-up to give sanctuary flowers is posted in fellowship hall. The cost for flowers is $33 per Sunday. You may sign up or call to the church office to reserve a special date in the spring.
