ATTENTION HIGH SCHOOL SENIORS AND COLLEGE STUDENTS:
Applications for the 2020 Nancy and Dale McKee Family Scholarship are available July 15 – August 20 at https://wvcfscholarships.communityforce.com/Login.aspx. This scholarship requires that the applicant be a member or regular attendee of Central Presbyterian Church. The church is not involved in this scholarship application or selection.
GRIEF SHARE meets each Wednesday at Central Presbyterian Church at 6:30 pm. Led by caring, trained people who have experienced grief themselves, this program will offer grief support from a Christian perspective. It has three components: a video seminar, a support group, and a take-home workbook to reinforce the whole process. Grief Share fits people who suffered loss quite recently and those who have carried their grief for a longer time. For more information please call the church office.
The Samaritan’s Purse Operation Christmas Child shoeboxes are being sponsored by the Deacons and Youth Group. These boxes will bless children all over the world at Christmas, but filling them begins now. Items will be collected throughout the summer and fall and then the boxes will be assembled by the youth group and taken to a collection point for shipping. Each month we will receive specific items. July is designated as school supplies (they are on sale), crafts and activities. A complete list is in the bulletin. Please bring your items and place them in the basket in fellowship hall.
CHURCH PICNIC AUG. 18th. 5 pm. LIONS 3 SHELTER
Please, mark your calendar and plan to attend the annual Church picnic. CL will provide baked and fried chicken, paper goods, ice water and serving utensils. Bring your favorite picnic dish to share, lawn chair, insect repellent and outdoor games.
Plan to join the fun and games with your Church family!
CL will be sponsoring a GENTLY USED ITEMS AND BOOK SALE on Saturday, Nov. 2nd.
You know what that means? It is time to start cleaning out closets, garages, attics and any place else you have been stashing things. Remember—GENTLY USED! Be sure to watch for more information about this event.
