It is a busy Sunday coming up at Central: Please decide what works best for you.
Kelli Fuller of the Hamilton Center will give a talk after church this Sunday on the complexities of homelessness in Terre Haute. Come learn about this important topic to our community and how CPC is going to be helping make a difference in a new way via assisting in food and clothing distribution on Wednesday, Jan. 25 from 10am – 2pm. Please let Josh Powers know if you are interested in participating in some or all of this mission activity –jopowers@indstate.edu.
UNHANGING OF THE GREENS – Sunday, Jan. 8 immediately after worship. Please help if you are able. We hope to get this task done quickly so that more can attend the guest speaker’s presentation. Some advance work will begin during the Sunday School time.
All Sunday School classes resume on Sunday, January 8. Children’s Worship will be held for 4 year olds through 1st graders. The children depart the sanctuary following the children’s moment and meet in room 202.
The annual meeting of the congregation will be held in the church sanctuary immediately following worship on Sunday, January 22, 2017.
Per Capita literally means “by the head.” This expense is determined by Presbytery Council and paid by the church in January. Please assist the church budget by paying your per capita early in the year. Per capita for 2017 is $31.50 per active member. Per capita supports constitutionally mandated structures and committee expenses of: $20.19 – Presbytery; $ 3.81 – Synod; $ 7.50 – General Assembly. Per Capita monies made it possible for Anna Tilstra-Smith to attend GA last year as well as getting the necessary work of each governing level accomplished.
