On Communion Sunday, members are asked to make a voluntary contribution to aid the distressed and afflicted of our community. Please consider a gift, using the Deacons Fund pew envelopes.

For security reasons, several of the church building doors will lock at 10:45 on Sunday mornings.  The main doors (on 7th Street) will remain open.  A greeter will be there to welcome late-comers to our sanctuary for worship.

The nationally recognized Millikin University Choir will be in concert in the CPC Sanctuary on Sunday, January 6 at 3:00 pm. A free will offering will be received. Bring your friends!

The UNHANGING OF THE GREENS will be done following the choir concert on Sunday afternoon – around 4:30 pm. All helping hands will be appreciated.

Your help needed for the Homeless Count. The annual Terre Haute homeless count is Wed., Jan. 23 from 11am – 2pm. This is extremely important to ensure federal and state funding to our region. We are seeking volunteers to help 10:15-12:15pm and/or 12:15-end; Gilbert Park Shelter (across from former Lighthouse Mission at Wabash & 14th). We are also in need of donations of coats, blankets, heavy socks, stocking caps, warm gloves, or cash to purchase such items. Items can be dropped off starting in January at designated table in Fellowship Hall through Sunday prior. Volunteer sign up will also be on table. Commission and Committee Chairs: ANNUAL REPORTS are due Friday, January 4 – If you’ve missed the deadline, please get it in asap.
Per Capita – Every Presbyterian congregation has the opportunity to pay an annual per capita assessment to the denomination. Central Presbyterian, maintaining its traditional support to the PC(USA) makes this payment in full. We ask every member to prayerfully consider making an additional contribution – over and above your offering pledges – to cover this expense for our church. The 2019 amount is $40 per person. A special envelope is in the offering box.
HELPING THE HUNGRY – Food insecurity is extensive in Terre Haute. The Mission Committee will be collecting food and related need items to be distributed to a community food pantries during the year. A list of needed items will be posted in fellowship hall for each month. Your donations can be placed in the grocery cart that will be in Fellowship Hall.
