The Session has called a Congregational Meeting for Sunday, August 5 immediately following worship for the purpose of voting on Rev. Mike Riggins as the next installed pastor of Central Presbyterian Church and the terms of call. You can meet Mike and Linda Riggins at an open house at the church on Saturday, August 4 from 4:30 to 6:00 pm. Rev. Riggins will be preaching on Sunday morning.
Blessing of the Backpacks will be during worship on Sunday, August 5. Students (of all ages) and teachers should bring your backpack or school bag to be blessed for the new school year.
William Seo will be giving a presentation on the HEMEfund on Sunday, August 12 at 9:30 am in the fellowship hall classrooms. All are invited to hear an update of William’s work before he begins Seminary.

Applications for the McKee Family Scholarship through the Wabash Valley Community Foundation are now being accepted through August 23. This scholarship is for traditional and nontraditional college students that are members or regular attendees of Central Presbyterian Church. Information and application is at https://wvcfscholarships.communityforce.com/Login.aspx.
SUMMER CHALLENGE FOR KIDS -Children 12 years and younger may participate in an opportunity to get a free meal at Texas Roadhouse. Each child can pick up a bookmark for the event in fellowship hall. Read three books from the church library OR memorize three Bible verses (sent by email) by September 2 and you get a meal. A parent or Mrs. Moles has to verify that you have done the requirements. You take the bookmark to Texas Roadhouse and get a free kid’s meal. There are plenty of bookmarks to share with friends.
