ANNOUNCEMENTS

A Memorial Service for Jan Kirschner will be on April 26 at 3:45 pm at Central.

There will NOT be Parents’ Night Out on May 1 due to scheduling conflicts for the adult workers combined with youth soccer conflicts.  We are going to try to reschedule for later in May.  There will not be PNO in June or July.

“Abide With Me” – Songs of Christian Death, Resurrection and Eternal Life is a choral and organ concert featuring choirs from Indiana University and Central Presbyterian Church conducted by Jonathan Rudy on May 1 at 7:30 pm at the Church of the Immaculate Conception at St. Mary-of-the-Woods.

The Mission Committee is collecting items each month that will benefit community agencies.  Please bring your donations and place them in the grocery cart in fellowship hall.
April – Baby Month – disposable diapers and wipes
May- Personal Care Items
June – Food Bank

During the Sundays of the Easter Season, the lectionary substitutes lessons from the book of The Acts of the Apostles for the Old Testament reading.  Acts is 28 chapters about the living out of the Resurrection of Jesus in the early Church.  Therefore, church members and families are encouraged to read four chapters of The Acts of the Apostles each week through May 24.

Surrell Scholarship applications are now available in the church office.  Funds are available for graduating seniors and current college students (including non-traditional) who are part of the CPC family, whether by membership or participation in church life.  Applications must be returned to the church office by April 30, 2015 to be considered.

Sunday School classes meet each week at 9:30 am. Preschool – room 108;  Elementary – room 202; Middle School and High School – room 201; Adults and Young Adults: Faith and Science – FH Classroom A/B Christian Parenting – FH Classroom C.
