April 27-29, 2018 Pyoca Family Spring Retreat
June 4 – 8 VBS at CPC
SPECIAL FELLOWSHIP TIME TOMORROW – Chris and Grace Lee are moving to Pennsylvania very soon. Unfortunately, there isn’t time to get baby Jane baptized at Central, but we don’t want to miss the opportunity to show her our love. Jane was born prematurely on December 7 and was hospitalized for several weeks. The fellowship time tomorrow will be a reception to give us a chance to “welcome” little Jane and celebrate that she is healthy and thriving while also saying farewell to the family. If you desire, cards wishing the family well may be given.
SURRELL Scholarship applications are available in the church office. Central is blessed with funds to provide book scholarships to high school graduates and current college students that are members or regular attendees of CPC. Applications are required and must be returned to the church office by May 1. Scholarships will be announced and distributed on May 13.
Summer Church Camp at Pyoca information is available at www.pyoca.org. There are camps for 2nd – 12th grade youth.

Jim Moles is starting a walking group If you would like to walk with church friends, meet at the south parking lot of Fairbanks Park, near the boat dock, just across from the YMCA at 10:00 Saturday morning. You can walk as fast or as slow as you like, as many laps as you like, there are lots of benches for resting, and we’ll be walking along the beautiful Wabash river. Kids are welcome, dogs are welcome, everyone of all ages is welcome. Come on out on Saturday mornings for some fresh air, exercise, conversation, and fun. If it rains, we’ll wait for better weather. Hope to see you!
FUNDRAISER FOR YOUTH SUMMER MISSION TRIP
Centenary Methodist is having a family fun night to raise funds for our Youth Group mission trip to Nashville, Tennessee and everyone that loves our joint youth group is invited!
It is on April 15 with an appetizer supper and live auction of gently used items.
As you are spring cleaning and come across an item that you no longer need but someone else would want/buy, please donate it to the auction.
All proceeds from the auction will benefit the mission trip expenses and reduce the cost that the families must cover.
Bring auction items to Centenary by 5 pm on April 15.
Please bring an appetizer to share – eating begins at 5:30 pm.
Live auction begins at 6:30 pm.
Please join the fun even if you don’t have an item to donate.
See Connor Scanlon for more information.
Watch for information on other upcoming youth fundraisers!
SAVE THE DATE! “God’s Great Gallery” Vacation Bible School will be June 4-8 from 9:30 am to 12:15 pm at Central. Children ages 3 years through 5th grade are welcome. Youth and adults are needed to help. More information and registration forms will be available soon.
