The Lenten Study Series finishes this Sunday, April 7. Supper is served from 5:15 – 6:00 followed by worship and classes beginning at 6:15. The adult class, “Christian Responses to the Tough Issues of Today,” will be led by Rev. Mike Riggins. The topic for this week is “The Rise of Non-Denominational Churches.” The elementary children do learning activities with “40 Days in 40 Ways” with Cheryl Moles. The Middle School and Elementary School youth will have Youth Group meetings with Connor Scanlon. Childcare will be provided for children age 3 and younger. Supper will be a taco bar served by the Christian Nurture Commission.

The deadline for applications is April 22, 2019. The Surrell Scholarship Fund was established from a bequest from Mary E. Surrell who became a member of CPC in 1866. This book scholarship is for the benefit of graduating high-school seniors and current college students (including non-traditional) who are a part of the CPC family, whether by membership or participation in church life.
Easter flowers may be purchased by using the form in the Sunday bulletin or Herald. Sunday is the last day to order.
REGISTER NOW! The all-church PYOCA SPRING FAMILY RETREAT will be April 26-28. This fun event is for all ages and abilities. It is held at beautiful Pyoca Camp, Conference and Retreat Center in Brownstown, IN. The weekend activities include relaxed fellowship and fun with church family, working to help the camp prepare for summer, and worship. The cost for two nights is $40 per person for adults and children 11 years and older; $25 for children 5-10 years and free for younger children. For one night it is $30 for adults and $18 for children. This covers lodging, snacks, Saturday breakfast and lunch, and Sunday breakfast. The cost of a Saturday pizza supper is shared. You may choose to come for the day on Saturday, but you might miss the s’mores!
A CPR and First Aid Training Session will be Saturday, April 13 from 9 – 11 am at the church and is open to anyone that would like to attend. You may participate without being certified for free or with certification for $30. Please let the church office know if you are coming.
The Mission Committee is collecting food items for Light House Mission in March and April. The food needs are: Corn, Green Beans, Peas, Applesauce, Baked Beans, Tomatoes (previous items in regular or commercial size cans), Beans, Pasta, Pasta Sauces, Corn Bread Mixes, Flour, Oatmeal, Sugar, Salt, Cereals. Please place your items in the grocery cart in Fellowship Hall.
The Moles/Goltry family will host an Easter pitch-in dinner at church following the fellowship time on Sunday, April 21. Anyone that would like to join is welcome. Please bring a dish or two to share. The meat and drinks will be provided.
Please sign-up on the sheet in fellowship hall so that we are prepared for the correct number of guests. Help with clean up is requested.
The Sunday School offering will purchase needed items for Pyoca Camp and Retreat Center. The offering will be received at the beginning of the Children’s Moment. Adult and youth classes should continue to give in their classrooms. Thank you for your generous donations.
