By way of a brief summary, here is what God has in store for you and your family this winter during the Sunday School time before worship (9:30 to 10:30 AM) unless otherwise noted.

CHILDREN
Nursery - our attendants provide special care for infants through 2 years old in the nursery off of the fellowship hall.  2 year olds have a Bible story and activity each week using God Loves Me books.

Preschool - 3, 4, and 5 year olds enjoy Bible stories and activities using We Believe curriculum.  (See an overview of the stories in the elementary section).  They meet in the Preschool room on the first floor with teachers Sandy Mead and Renee Newton.

Elementary - kindergarten through 4th graders meet in the northeast corner room on the 2nd floor of the education wing.  A member of the teaching team of Carla Bailey, Frank Bailey, Tina Clem, Kirsten Ford, Donna Paul-Bonham, Debbie Ricks, and Scott Racop will be leading the activities in the We Believe curriculum.  The fall quarter stories are of God, our Creator.  God creates the world and humankind.  God makes a promise with the people whom God has created and God claims humankind as God's own children.  Each class begins with music led by Beth Whitaker.

YOUTH
Tweens - 5th through 7th grade students gather at the "Common Ground Coffee House" which is conveniently located in the south 2nd floor classroom.  The Live BIG curriculum helps youth see how they "Live their Belief in God" through video and discussion.  Meeting with the group each week will be Carla Bailey, Frank Bailey, Andrea Clinkenbeard, Josh Powers, or Donna Paul-Bonham.

Older Youth - 8th through 12th grade students will meet in the "Senior High" room, just off the fellowship hall.  Aimee Einfeld, Cheryl Moles, Scott Paul-Bonham, and Todd Whitaker make up the teaching team that will work with this class.  Learning about the Great Ends of the Church will take place with discussion and then students will interpret these principles that guide the mission of the church through creative activities (banner making, music, etc.).

ADULTS
Bible Study - the Adult Bible Study group meets in the south end of the lounge on the first floor.  Don Dodson facilitates the lesson from The Present Word.  The fall studies will follow the history of God's covenant with the Hebrew people from Noah's day until after the return from exile.  (Genesis through Nehemiah).

Coffee and Conversation - this adult group meets in the north end of the lounge.  Rev. Scott Paul-Bonham will be coordinating the group and anticipates most leadership coming from the class members.  This group selects topics that are of interest ranging from current events to theology.  Grab a cup of coffee, if you desire, and join the conversation!

Please encourage your children to participate with us and come yourself to one of our adult classes.  To use a Motel 6 metaphor, "God always leaves a light on!"

- Josh Powers and Debbie Ricks,
  Sunday School Co-Superintendents
