New Librarians
Eunice Pate and Marsha Harder have answered the call of excellence established by Alice Wert and her predecessor professional librarians - and most recently by Evelyn and Keith Gladden - in maintaining our church library at high standards.  We are grateful to all who have tended this rich resource for congregational learning.  If you have not recently used the library, why don't you give it a try!  You'll find it up-to-date and full of reward for your efforts.

From the Pastor's Bookshelf
In addition to Rebecca Lyman's book on Early Christian Traditions I am currently reading:

John L. Esposito, What Everyone Needs to Know About Islam (New York: Oxford Univ. Press, 2002, ISBN 0-19-515713-3).  Answers to frequently asked questions from one of America's leading experts.

Inequality Matters: The Growing Economic Divide in America and Its Poisonous Consequences, James Lardner and David A. Smith, eds. (New York: New Press, in collaboration with Demos, 2005, ISBN 1-56584-995-7).  A collection of individual essays from persons such as Barbara Ehrenreich, Bill Moyers, and Jim Wallis.

Large Print Books
Remember that the Vigo County Public Library brings a selection of large  print books that can be borrowed from the church library.  Look for the available titles on the top two shelves next to the card catalog.  They make easier reading for tired eyes!

Have A Book To Share?
Have you read a book lately and want to share it with others?  Bring it to the "Bring One, Take One" shelves.  You donate a book and may take an available book.
