College and Young Adults

College Students: We welcome all students to join us for Sunday school classes, fellowship activities, and a traditional worship service. Central Presbyterian Church supports United Campus Ministries. We have had students from St. Mary of the Woods College, Indiana State University, Rose Hulman Institute of Technology, and Ivy Tech worship with us.  We have openings in our music ministry for talented singers and instrumentalists.

Service Projects: The church often is involved in various service projects in and around Terre Haute and in some more remote locations.  Most recently the church joined together with other churches along 7th Street for a “Holypalooza” event that involved service to the community–for the residents of the Deming Center who soon would be moving to a new facility, for the community garden at Indiana State University, and for a new food pantry that has opened at United Campus Ministries.  In the summer of 2014 a group of adults from the church traveled to Buckhorn, Kentucky, to work in the second-hand store and to perform repairs and maintenance on the famous “Log Church.”  New service projects are being planned for 2015.  Individual students and student organizations are encouraged to stay in contact with the church office (812.232.5049) about opportunities for service.
