ANNOUNCEMENTS 

HANGING OF THE GREENS – Tuesday, December 2  Join the annual church decorating for the holidays.  Pizza supper will be at 5:30, Decorating from 6:00 – 7:00 followed by a short dedication service.

CHRISTMAS GIVING – The Mission Committee wants to build the tallest tree ever seen in the fellowship hall. Help us by bringing large cans of tuna,chicken (12 oz.) or jars of peanut butter (28 oz.). You may also help by taking a tag from a tree that will have a clothing item needed for an older child. Please return the item and tag, unwrapped, by December 14 and place it in one of the tubs by the tree. Tags for a sewing machine to support the HEME Fund will also be on the tree. A sewing machine is $60.00. The food items are going to the 14th and Chestnut food pantry and clothing items are going to their clothes closet. Donations will be accepted, cash and checks. Please make checks to HEME Fund or 14th and Chestnut.

Children’s Christmas Program – Rehearsal this Sunday is immediately following worship  in the Sanctuary.  ALL children that will be in the program (preschool and older) should attend.

Family Prayer Group – CHANGE OF TIME – The group will now meet at 11:00 am on Mondays for prayer time, but there will not be lunch.  On the 2nd Monday of each month, the group will meet at 11:00 am for prayer and have lunch at noon.  All women that care for the families of our church are welcome to join.  Childcare is provided.

The Mission Committee asks for special donations of diapers and baby wipes this month.  Items may be brought any Sunday and placed in the grocery cart.

Sunday School classes meet each week at 9:30 am. Preschool – room 108;  Elementary – room 202; Middle School and High School – room 201; Adults and Young Adults: Coffee and Conversation – FH classroom A; Christian Studies – FH classroom B; Christian Parenting – FH Classroom C.

The Sunday School offering is money for milk at 14th and Chestnut.  Bring your coins for a little fun while giving this year!

Continue to bring the plastic caps and lids.  They will be given to Art Totality for a second bench.

A new church directory has been published.  You may pick up your copy in fellowship hall.

The Women’s Book Club will meet on December 4 at 6:00 pm at the Country Club for supper and book discussion.  Eunice Pate will lead the discussion of Blue Christmas by M. K. Andrews.
